On June 17, 2013 The Medford Lakes Police Department hosted the 2013 Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) Graduation/Party at Beach 1. DARE Officer John McGinnis hosted the graduation/party with the assistance of Chief Steve Carbone and SLEO I Officer Tamie Hartman. All food and water for the graduation was generously donated by Murphy's Market. All graduating 5th Grade Neeta Students were given a DARE Graduation T-shirt, DARE sunglasses, DARE gym bags, and other various DARE gear.

During one of the last lessons, the students were asked to complete a DARE essay on everything they have learned and the impact DARE has had on their lives. Our top 3 DARE essay winners received a DARE book-bag filled with DARE gear, and a VISA gift card.
