Medford Lakes police looking for police impersonator

MEDFORD LAKES— Police are looking for a man who impersonated an officer
conducting a routine car stop, police said.
According to police, the
suspect approached a car on Algonquin Trail at about 1:30 a.m. on March 23 with
a flashlight, tapped on the driver’s side window, identified himself as a police
officer in plain clothes and asked for identification. After receiving the
identification, the suspect asked the driver and her passengers if there was any
marijuana or alcohol in the car, police said. He then asked if they had
cigarettes, and when they gave some to him, he just walked away, police
said.
Police describe the suspect as a white man in his mid-20s with
short blonde hair, blue eyes, light facial hair, about 5 feet 10 inches tall
with a thin build and wearing a black jacket and blue jeans.

On November 23, 2012 at approximately 2:30 P.M. police were dispatched to the 200 block of Chicagami Trail for a report of a burglary. The resident reported observing a subject inside the residence who immediately left after being confronted. Nothing was reported missing from the residence. Police are investigating the incident. The homes were entered during the daytime, one by forcing open a first-floor window, the other by forcing open a rear door. Medford Central Record > News Five Medford teens arrested with marijuana in Medford Lakes parkTuesday, June 26, 2012 MEDFORD LAKES— Five 16-year-old boys from Medford were arrested for possession of marijuana after a police officer on bike patrol saw them smoking the marijuana in the gazebo at Brooks Field at about 9:14 p.m. on June 18, police said.
All the teens were also found to be in possession of additional marijuana, police said, and one teen had drug paraphernalia which is used to sell and distribute the marijuana. Police said cash was also seized from the teen. Additional charges are pending and the teens were released to their parents pending a hearing in Burlington County Family Court, police said.
