On May 2, 2016 Lt. McGinnis hosted a Bicycle Helmet Safety Assembly at Neeta School for 3rd, 4th, & 5th grade students.  Susan Quick from the Brain Injury Alliance of NJ and Maureen Donnelly from Safe Kids Southern NJ gave a presentation to the students regarding bicycle helmet safety.  Both speakers along with Lt. McGinnis spoke about bicycle/pedestrian safety including proper use of bike helmets, bike courtesy routes, crosswalks and pedestrian safety.  A reminder to all residents to walk against traffic and ride your bike with traffic (Ride Right - Walk Left).  Anyone under the age of 17 is required to wear a bike helmet but all are encouraged to wear a bike helmet every time they ride.
